Officer Recruitment
Players cannot run a successful city alone. They will need the support of talented officers. Players will need a military institute to recruit officers. By clicking on the military institute, players will be able to view the attributes of each graduate officer and their recruitment fees.
Players can recruit the officer by clicking the “recruit” button.
The officers available for recruitment will be refreshed after a fixed period of time. The higher level the academy, the higher the number of officers that will be available to be recruited each time as well as the faster the refresh rate. Players will need a Staff Headquarters for their officers to work in. Higher levels off Staff Headquarters allow more officers to work in it.
Officer Attributes
Note: Players will be able to recruit a variety of officers with different attributes. Each attribute will be more suited to a unique role.
Rank
Higher level officers will have higher attributes and will be able to use better equipment that will enhance their abilities.
Logistics
Officers can act as mayors and this logistics attribute increases productivity, reduces building construction time as well as defensive fortification construction time.
Military
Officers with high military attributes can increase military offensive power when sent on missions, or, when acting as mayor, reduce the production time of military units.
Knowledge
When sent on attacks, the knowledge attribute increases the military's defensive ability. When acting as mayor, this attribute, shortens scientific and technological research time.
Potential
When an officer is upgraded, there will be 1 potential point that can be spent to increase their various attributes. Players can purchase “Training Manuals” to reassign all of their officer's attribute points.
Loyalty
The performance of an officer is affected by his loyalty. When initially recruited, the officer's loyalty will begin at 70 and will decrease over time. When the loyalty reaches 0, the officer will leave the city. Players can increase their officer's loyalty by rewarding them with gold or jewels.
Salary
Players will have to pay their officer's salary in gold. The higher the level and attributes of an officer, the higher their salary.
Officers Upgrades
Officers can “level up” in a way similar to RPG games where once they reach a certain level of experience, they will be able to increase a certain attribute. These attributes can be increased to suit the player's needs.
Officer Status
Players can view the status of their various officers by clicking on the “Staff Headquarters”.
Idle
Idle officers can be assigned to tasks.
Mayor
The Mayor is the city leader and players can appoint an officer to this role. The officer's attributes will affect the city in various ways.
Expedition
Officers can lead army expeditions. Once they reach their destination or return to the city, they will return to the idle state.
Combat
Officers are required to lead certain attacks. When fighting a battle, officers will be shown to be in an “in combat” state. After the battle is over, officers will return to their previous post.
Garrison
Officers can be garrisoned in the wild or in an allies city. These officers will be shown to be in a garrisoned state. These officers can be recalled at the whim of the player.
Renaming Officers
Players can rename their officers on the “Staff Headquarters” interface. Special officers cannot be renamed.
Officer Skills
In addition to their own attributes, certain officers can have special specific skills that can be used in battle to unique effect. An officer can learn up to 3 skills. Skills already learned can be forgotten to make room for new skills.
Military defeat
When an enemy NPC general is defeated when players attack a wilderness, players can capture their officers and force them to pledge allegiance. These officers will only have a loyalty of 10. Players will have to reward them to increase their loyalty. Players can immediately dismiss these officers if they prove unsatisfactory. If a player does not have room for additional officers, these captured officers will be released automatically.
A player's officer will be defeated when:
- 1. Garrisoned in the wilderness and the wilderness is conquered or plundered by another player. The officer will automatically return to their original city.
- Stationed in a Union member's city and the city is conquered. The officer will automatically return to his original city.
- When failing an attack. The officer will automatically return to his original city.
